 Bible-Half-Hour in Gathering

Tuesday

Saved from the waters,
Adopted into Privilege,
Fugitive Criminal,
Brave, Lucky, Married and Hired,
Recruited into Ministry.

¡Way IS Already Open!

Readings for second Session — Tuesday

These Queries are offered in case you find them helpful to accompany each other in harvest in your little meeting, in your tiny church. Some of you may already feel guided and ripe to offer what the Spirit has given in and for your condition. Always go with that first.

Use only what feels useful:

  • ¿How was I adopted into privilege? ¿Can I discern God’s intention for me to be faithful in ministry in and out of that privilege?

  • ¿What do we say to ourselves, and to the Love Within, the Love that makes us minister, when we yield to the Call, or when we baulk?

  • (And for those who may remember BblHfHr 2008) ¿How could God and God’s ministers use couples counseling every now an then?

  • Ask for forgiveness:
—for bringing water in a hard-to-open contain. I have been admonished in my Caribbean dreams:
—for packing too much, and not telling you that you will not be failed if you don’t read everything
—for being sure that I will continue to blow it with the best intentions.

  • A dance for two: Scenes from a m…inistry.
    Exodus 34:5-8; Numbers 14:11-19.

  • A jolt of hope: It’s close, so close … so open: Deuteronomy 30:11-14

  • Moses survives neo-natal persecution, and floats into safety and privilege.

  • Moses steps out, intervenes, kills and flees.

  • Moses saves the day, impresses the father-in-law, gets given a wife , and a job with with an option to own the father-in-law’s business.

  • God disrupts the good-enough domestic order with a call to ministry.

  • Moses baulks

  • The remit

  • The dance between the Spirit-That-Gave-It-Forth and how It Speaks-To-My/Our-Condition.
